Disneyland is even more magical at Christmas time. (Especially when it fake snows at night!) ha ha

Halloween

The Annual Church family costume party. We borrowed all of our costumes! Malie was Snow White thanks to Karla. Quinney was Dopey thanks to Jamie. I was the Queen thanks to Marci. I told McKay he was in charge of his costume so he made the "mirror on the wall" at work out of cardboard and styrofoam!

This was the third time the kids dressed up. When I was spraying Malie's hair I started in the back and ran out by the time I got to the front. So her hair was gray instead of black. haha Quinney dressed up as a bumble bee this night thanks to Karla.

Our new baby girl arrived on Tuesday 2/1/2011. Quinney Lyn Carling. We named her after both of her Grandmothers. Quinney is my Mother's middle name (her Mother's maiden name). Lyn is after McKay's mom Lynette.

We are expecting another baby girl! We are so excited! Malie is going to love having a sister two years apart. I know, because one of my very best friends is my sister that is two years older than me! We are so excited to have these little sisters growing up together!

We are so excited for baby #2! I am 15 weeks along. I am having an ultrasound on this Wednesday and they say I will probably be able to see if it is a girl or boy. Feel free to make a guess!

East Coast Vacation

We went to Philadelphia for my brother's graduation. While we were there we drove to New York City which is only 1.5 hrs away. Then we got to visit where McKay served his mission. Washington D.C. South Mission, which is mainly northern Virginia. Philly was so fun and we love that it is so close to these other places. Here are a few pics from the trip!

For some reason Malie was so excited to be on the airplane. She loves to point at airplanes in the sky, but I don't know if she really knew what was going on.

We flew to Philly to see my brother Kipp graduate from dental school. Thanks Kipp and Jodee for letting us stay 6 nights in your home!

Thanks Mom and Jodell for watching Malie and Chaplen so that John, Kaeli, McKay and I could go to New York City. Malie and Chaplen had lots of fun with their cousins Lakai and Cohen.

We drove an hour to Staten Island and then jumped on the ferry to NYC. This is us on the ferry with the Statue of Liberty in the background.

Guess who got their appendix taken out? The gal in the middle! On Thursday I had terrible pain and had to go to the operating room. McKay is having fun playing Mr. Mom. I can't pick Malie up for about 2 weeks! It is hard for me to hear her crying and I can't take care of her. Although, the thought of her hitting my stomach keeps me away and I can't get around very well anyway.

Now that we are settled in, I hope to post a little more frequently.

Christmas was great this year. Malie loved opening presents. She hardly got a thing, but I just wrapped up a lot of random toys of my Mother's.

Dada's birthday! He got a hunting backpack that he wanted. Everytime we go to Bass Pro I say no way he can't buy it. I gave in and surprised him for his birthday. I wish I would have gotten a picture of him walking around the house with it on and decked out with all his hunting gear attached! (so cute!)

I made an almond joy cake, because that is McKay's favorite candy bar. It was so delicious! I have been craving it ever since! I can't wait to make it again!

Patty Cake

A couple of months ago Malie learned how to play patty cake with her feet. It was my fault that she learned it this way, because I would do patty cake with her feet after diaper changes. So... I decided to teach her the right way.

New Moon Party

This was the 2nd annual Twilight party hosted by my sister-in-law Kelly. Her parties are so fun. We had Italian food (the Volturi are from Italy), which was so yummy. We did trivia, a shirt contest, new moon jewelry making, there were blood drinks, bloody cupcakes, everyone got a new moon soundtrack, and guess what Edward and Jacob were there! After the party everyone went to see the movie.

Who do I look better with? I think definitely McKay!

Sisters! Kaeli won the shirt contest! She photo-shopped herself in place of Bella. My shirt had a picture of McKay with photo-shopped sparkly skin and it said, "I like my men sparkly!" There were a ton of great shirts!

This is what Malie will look like when she gets hair. Except it will be blonde. Although, I think she looks good in this color. Maybe I will let her dye it if she wants when she is 15.

This is at my family's Halloween party. This Cardinal cheerleader outfit was the first thing McKay bought Malie. The day we found out she was a girl we went shopping and this is what McKay picked out. It fits her now, so we decided to have her wear it for Halloween. McKay and I are extreme Cardinal fans, so that we match Malie. (We are in real life too!)

We went up to the Carling Cabin for the 24th of July! We went to the archery shoot at Sunrise Ski Resort. Malie went on her first ski lift! It was kind of scary holding on to a baby that high up!

Malie got her ears pierced on the 4th of July! She didn't even cry with the first one. On the second one it got stuck and she did cry. She doesn't usually cry for her shots either. She is such a happy baby.

Too bad you can't see McKay's entire 4th of July outfit in this picture. He had on this shirt with blue plaid shorts and red and white socks to his knees! I was like, "Is that what you are wearing to the mall?" and he said yes because he is patriotic. So I decided to join him by putting on some white shorts and red shoes to go with my blue shirt!

On Sunday, May 3rd our baby girl was given the name Malie Kay Carling along with a beautiful blessing given by her Father. McKay wore a tie with pink on it just for Malie! Malie is so lucky to have such a sweet Daddy!

Today Malie is 2 months old! She is growing way too fast!

I want her to stay my baby forever!

Malie's favorite thing is her bath! She could stay in there for hours. I usually put her in while I blow dry my hair, brush my teeth, etc. This way she can stay in for a long time. Don't worry I never take my eyes off of her. She loves to watch me get ready too! She is so observant! haha

Malie Kay Carling was born Saturday March 7, 2009 at 11:55 a.m. She weighed 6 lbs 15 oz and was 20 1/2 inches long. McKay and I are completely in love with her. She is such a sweet, content baby and we have enjoyed the past 16 days with her. Her name means "calm" in Hawaiian. (That is why we named her Malie.) j/k We don't know how they pronounce it, but we pronounce it with the "A" NOT saying its own name. The "A" sounds like it does in Apple. Her middle name "Kay" is short for "McKay"! Anyways, I promised some people I would make a blog after the baby was born!
